Workplace Wellbeing

Does your workplace have a wellbeing strategy? If so, is it meaningful? Is everyone on board with or are you ticking a box? Have you paid thousands of pounds to a company who have sent you a tick box strategy and program that shows your ‘playing the part’?

The Importance of Workplace Wellbeing

Having spent 3 years working in employee health and wellbeing as a therapist and in a strategic role developing workplace wellbeing, I have extensive experience. My skillset is in assessing the needs of employees, teams and wellbeing cultures. I facilitate those initiatives through 1:1 work and team programs and workshops.

Some of the topics I offer support with include:

  • Mental Health Awareness
  • Burnout Culture
  • The Importance of Sleep
  • Assertiveness Skills and Boundaries
  • Cultivating Calm through Mindfulness and Meditation
  • Improving Relationships and Team Dynamics
  • Emotional understanding and regulation.

This list is not exhaustive I enjoy the challenge of creating bespoke packages that are tailored to meet the needs of your employees and workplace.

A Genuine Approach

Wellbeing at work has become vogue over the past few years. It is important that this is approached meaningfully. Employees will know if the support they’re being offered is genuine and actively in place to support them or the face of the business. This is where I believe the approaches I embed in my work can make a real difference.

Many coaches are trained in ‘sticking plaster’ approaches that work in a ‘top-down’ manner and don’t address root causes. This is where I implement a bottom-up approach with addressing the underlying issues and using them as the foundations to build upon. Wellbeing strategies shouldn’t be reactive and seasonal – we need them to become cultural for us to truly see the impact. When wellbeing is embedded in culture this is where moral, efficiency, engagement and trust can evolve and transform the face of a business. A happier workforce will shine beyond the products and services directly impacting the customer/receiver.
