Leadership Coaching and Role Modelling
Leadership coaching and role modelling are two important approaches to leadership development. While leadership coaching is a personalised approach focusing on management and responsibility, role modelling teaches how to lead by example. Role models exhibit qualities that inspire and motivate their teams to follow, improving productivity and the culture within the workplace.

Leadership Coaching and Role Modelling to Achieve Self Regulation and Team Regulation
Leadership Coaching and Role Modelling is an area I am both experienced and passionate about. Leading is a step up into ‘responsibility’. If we break that word down into ‘response’ and ‘ability’, we are looking at a person’s ability to respond. Management has historically been a reactive role; this does not support the effectiveness of employee’s and the workforce. Responsibility firstly needs to address our ability to respond to ourselves and our own experiences – as relationships are not one directional. The version of you that you bring to work influences your energy and what you say and do. This has a ripple effect directly on others.
I am passionate about supporting the work environment to develop positive role modelling. Coaching can be a lucrative container to unpack what inhibits positive role modelling. Together we can identify strategies to overcome this and influence culture. Culture is created by multiples and influenced by individuals – that influence is greater when individuals become multiples.
My Approach to Leadership Coaching and Role Modelling
I will provide a safe container where we will look at areas of challenge and areas of strength. This is worked on through a non-judgemental lens as we develop the mindset of curiosity and openness. As we move into the specifics, we will look at mindset, habits, behaviour changes, reflection and developing self-awareness. This will also support the process of being able to self-regulate emotions and become less reactive and more responsive. Throughout this work we will embed the principles of mindfulness, so you become a more present leader driven by values and not ego.
Our ego operates from a place of fear so we can also address any nervous system support to ensure your body and mind are in harmony with one another. When operating from a regulated place, decisions, mood and the ability to lead will be enhanced. A lot of leadership coaching addresses the mind and ignores the body. Yet often it is our body firstly trying to communicate with us when we’re not feeling grounded, connected and assured.
