Counselling Lincoln
I offer counselling in Lincoln or one-on-one video calls depending on your needs and location.
Within this space I create a container in which we can safely explore challenges you may be facing in your life – whether they are historical, current or future orientated. This container creates an opportunity for you to connect with yourself more deeply. Through a weaving of observation and experience I believe the way our lives have evolved has disconnected us from being able to feel vitality in our health and wellbeing. We are up against pressures, demands, timings, expectations that often don’t align with our emotional and physical states of being. For example – how many times have you turned in at work unwell? Your body says, ‘I need rest’ and your mind says, ‘I’ve got to go to work’.
What to Expect from Counselling
Therapy and coaching can help us to understand our patterns and evolve new ones. When working with me you will be met and received by me with non-judgement and an open heart and mind to create a space from which you can grow and move forward. We may journey into aspects of your past to uncover the roots of your difficulties, but we will also remain grounded in the present to enable you to build the skills and resources you need to move forward and evolve. I use several approaches to support this work from both a counselling lens and coaching.
My Approach to Counselling and Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a significant informer and influencer on the way that I work as it supports us to live life in a more harmonious way alongside our experiences not irrespective of them. Life will always present us with challenges and the skill is not in removing or avoiding them but in building up our own inner state to meet them with both grit and grace.
